Hairfax Studio is now a “secret garden” experience. Nestled right in the center of Downtown Fairfax, Hairfax has a new location in a garden studio.
Still located at 31 Bolinas Road, you’ll now find Hairfax in the back of the building by entering via Mono Lane – look for the big scissors on the fence.
Stepping into Hairfax Studio one is immediately struck by the warm, welcoming environment. Natural light streams in the many windows and re-purposed rusty metal adds cool design elements while music tickles the ears. Sip a cup of custom-blended herbal Happy Hair Tea and get ready to feel nurtured.
Owner Kaz Begley is a Vidal Sassoon-educated stylist, trained yoga teacher and student of herbalism. Her background in health and wellness infuses the studio in every aspect of its operation. From keeping the carbon footprint low and enforcing an ammonia-free environment to creating a home-brewed line of organic conditioning oils, the values of Hairfax are in tune with the community. Staying with that theme, an organic hair care line is also available. Hairfax’s specialties are multidimensional hair coloring that mimics nature’s beauty and precision hair cutting. Kaz takes time with each client, taking into account eye color, skin tone, face and body shape and lifestyle needs. Whether restoring or maintaining… the health of the hair is always paramount. Hairfax is a family friendly salon catering to men, women, teens, and children.
